Thorp Arch Business Park Opens

Harrogate-based Marrtree Investments has completed work on their latest business park development at Thorp Arch Estate, near Wetherby with the first two tenants already secured.

The  site off Wighill Lane comprises 20,000 sq ft of light and general industrial, office and warehouse space, split into seven separate units. Among the new tenants are commercial and forecourt lighting specialists Yorkshire Lighting Services.

Marrtree director William Marshall said interest had been high in the development since building work began earlier in the year.

He said: “Good quality commercial space of this nature is scarce in this part of Yorkshire and the site has the advantage of being easily accessible from the A1 (M) and Harrogate, York and Leeds.

“Thorp Arch is a well-established commercial and distribution hub and we are currently in negotiations with a number of potential tenants who have been on the lookout for premises with the high level of specification that we have built into this latest development.”

In addition to the new Marrtree Business Park at Thorp Arch Estate, the company has recently developed business park’s at Doncaster, Knaresborough, Normanton, Darlington and is shortly to start on site at Sowerby Gateway, Thirsk.

The development at Thorp Arch is being marketed by FSS Property in Harrogate and Holder & Co as joint agents.

Daniel Brumfitt from FSS Property said: “The launch of Martree Business Park on the Thorp Arch Estate has introduced much-needed quality industrial units in the area and has been designed to appeal to a wide variety of potential tenants.

“Now that the site is ready for occupation and potential tenants can see for themselves the high standard of space available we are expecting to be fully let within months.”
