Harrogate property specialists FSS will be holding a bumper auction later this month with lots ranging in guide price between £65,000 and £400,000.
The event at Pavilions of Harrogate on September 28 will be the biggest property sale to have been held in the town this year and is an excellent opportunity for first time auction goers to experience the excitement of the saleroom.
“With such a wide variety of lots going under the hammer we’re expecting a range of different buyers, some seasoned investors and others trying their hand at auction bidding for the very first time,” said auctioneer Richard Smailes.
Properties in Leeds, Harrogate, Killinghall and Knaresborough are amongst those on offer, along with a seven bedroom former vicarage in the picturesque North York Moors village of Rosedale.
“A three bedroom stone built end terrace on the south side of Harrogate near the Marks and Spencer store in Oatlands is a gem of a property and has a guide price of £215,000,” said Richard.
“Another one to watch is a three bedroom detached on Wayside Avenue in Harrogate in the popular Saints area, being offered with a guide price of £280,000, which has large gardens and offers plenty of scope for improvement and extension subject to planning,” he added.
For developers, a plot of land of 0.2 acres with far reaching views near Pateley Bridge is being offered with a guide price of £150,000 and a 2.37 acre plot near Thirsk with outline planning approval for five detached homes has a guide price of £390,000.
There are commercial investment lots too, including premises in Otley currently leased and used as a barber’s shop (guide price £70,000) with three car parking and a shop in Castlegate, Knaresborough, which offers an 11 per cent return on investment based on the guide price of £90,000.
The auction is open to the public and Richard said everyone is welcome, whether they want to bid or just soak up the atmosphere.
“We haven’t had an auction of this scale and variety for quite some time and it’s an event not to be missed by anyone with an interest in property,” he said.
The FSS property auction will be held at 3pm on Thursday 28th September at Pavilions of Harrogate.
