A homebuyers report is recommended for properties of conventional type and construction that are apparently in reasonable condition.

Its aim is to assist you to:-

• make a reasoned and informed judgment on whether or not to proceed with the purchase.
• assess at what price it would be reasonable to purchase the property.
• be clear what actions should be taken before contracts are exchanged.

The report:-

• focuses on defects which are urgent or significant and have an effect on value.
• includes market and insurance valuations.
• is in a format designed by the RICS.
